You can find free street parking all along Workman Street. It's about a 30 second walk to the studio. You won't need permits or have to feed meters, but pay attention to street sweeping days/hours. You can also park on Ave. 26 all day (except 7-9 AM & 4-6 PM M-F) free without permits or meters. Pasadena Ave. has meters, please check times. There's also a Rite-Aid & Smart & Final across the street.
5 POINTS CLOTHING: Downstairs from the studio (same building) is 5 Points Clothing which sell many items from jackets, uniforms, Dickies, Army/Navy supplies, shirts, shoes, etc… they are a great resource for any last minute needs for your production.
5 POINTS HARDWARE: Also downstairs and in the same building is a great resource for all your production needs. They carry items not found at the large box stores, but still have many items you could use for your production. 5 Points Hardware have tools, materials, paints, and anything else you can think of.
SMART & FINAL: Right across the street we have this large chair which is fantastic for all your craft services needs.
JACK IN THE BOX: It's cross the street. We won't judge you for going there.
HOME DEPOT: It's down the street, right next to the 5/110 intersection. You can drive there in about 2 minutes and a huge asset for your shoots.
RITE-AID: It's also across the street. If you can't find it at one of the other options, you'll find it here.
If you're looking for recording studio quality silence, this may not be the best option for your project. We can however give you recommendations of other friendly studios in the area. Although we've had motion pictures, national commercials, voice overs, podcasts, documentaries and workshop classes use our location without a hitch.
Aside from the random fire truck, bus, you should get good sound that's very usable. See the projects that filmed here already! Worst day for sound? Tuesday. It's trash pick up day.
